In 1894 Beeck'sche Farbwerke's founder, Ludwig Beeck, began designing and manufacturing waterglass-based pure mineral paints. The original formulas are still in use today. Over the past 100 years the range of products has grown to meet building and environmental needs.

Based on the knowledge and experience gained over the years BEECK began developing and producing natural-organic based paints, marketed since 1968 under the brand name AGLAIA. Gerhard Oesterle moved the company from Krefeld, Germany to Laichingen in 1972. This new facility included a design and application lab.

Today, under the management of Dr. Thomas Oesterle, Beeck continues to develop and manufacture mineral paints and plants based paints that are consistent, unique and beautiful.
